Marina is developing a number of new Ex Libris (bookplate) editions to be released within the next coming months. These new editions will be a continuation of her successful “heart” series. By normal convention, an Ex Libris edition is named, or dedicated, for some person. In doing so, the person’s name is worked into the image with the notation “EXL” or “Ex Libris”. On her previous “heart” bookplates, Marina has named friends and family members. But now she is moving outside those circles and offers this special opportunity to other art lovers. Caroline Olin from the Chicago area was the Selected Winner in December. Marina completed an "Owl Heart" for Caroline. Angie Del Llano from Miami was the Selected Winner in February. Most recently Marina completed a "Lepidopterist Heart (Moth)" for Angie. This is now your opportunity to have your name memorialized with an artwork that will be retained and appreciated by other art lovers. |
